Two short videos and you’re ready to deal.
Deal yourself in
11 cards in your hand, plus 8 on the table in front of you: 4 face down that nobody sees, with 4 face up on top.
Play equal or lower
Match or go under the last card. Four of a kind or a KILL card clears the Build. A FERN card lets you pass a face-down card to someone else.
Empty out & win
First to get rid of every card wins the round and takes −10 points. Everyone else counts what’s left. Lowest score wins.

Bigger group? Add a second deck.
One deck plays 2–6. With another deck you’ll double the fun with up to 12 players. Grab two for big game nights, or three so you have one to give.
A card game designed by a brother and sister in Canada.
We learned an early version of this game from our grandpa Fernand (Fern for short), who the game is named after. We took the basics of that early version and reworked it to be as fun as possible for everyone to enjoy.
Thanks so much for supporting a small, family-made game. It means the world to us to see others enjoying Fern with friends and family.
